Early Film of the Gal
The video to the right was prepared by shipmate Charles Fritz from films and tapes supplied by a number of other shipmates. It includes some of the earliest know filming of the Gal in the late 1950s.
You can view the video "Full Screen" by clicking on the tool icon in the lower right corner of the player, however expect an increase in fuzziness.
West Pac & Med Cruises 1968 & 1969
This latest addition is a video of almost two hours of film (in 4 parts) shot by shipmate Cyrus Moy, RM3 during the 1968 and 1969 cruises to the Wes Pac and The Med. The video is in four parts and includes some fantastic shots of the Panama Canal crossings and liberty ports including Galveston Texas. There are also some great at sea clips of storms and unreps.
West Pac Film
This is a video created from film shot by our late Shipmate, Electrician Jack Boudreaux while serving aboard the Galveston during an unidentified West Pac cruise. The film was transferred to DVD by Boudreaux's son and donated to the Association by his wife Pamela.
