We are staying at the Holiday Inn Select Memphis Airport. For room reservations you can use the online link below or call 1-888-444-7789 and request to speak with either Gwen or Ora. They are the Reservations Managers and will take excellent care of any and all who call in for reservations.
The rooms are $99 (plus tax) per night. The hotel has a Restaurant and Bar. Our Hospitality Room and the Ball Room for the Banquet are very large and will handle all our needs. I have met a lot of the staff and they are all great people. I think everyone will like all the staff and the hotel as much as I did during my visit and on-site inspection. TOURS: There are two (02) tours, the first one is to Graceland (Mansion Only), on Thursday, September 23, price $30.00 per person. The second one is to Harrah’s Casino, Tunica, Mississippi, on Friday, September 24, price $25.00 ($10.00 back in table or slot play).

Wecnesday: Check-in Day in the Hospitality Room. Free Day, Hospitality Room open until?
Thursday: Tour to Graceland. Busses will depart NLT 0930. For those not going, Hospitality Room will be open.
Friday: Tour to Tunica, MS (Harrahs Casino), Busses will depart NLT 0930. For those not going Hospitality Room will be open. 1800 Ballroom C for Gals Auction. Shipmates you better be there or Sweetthang will track you down, and then God Help You ha ha ha.
Saturday: 1000 Ballroom C (shipmates), Ballroom D (gals) for Business Meetings. Free Day. 1700 Large Ballroom for Reunion Banquet and Couple Photos first, dinner will begin 1900.
Dinner Menu: Salads: Garden Salad, Fresh Fruit Salad and Tomato & Cucumber Salad, Entries: Fried Chicken, Sliced Roast Beef and Fried Catfish, Veggies: Vegtable Medley, Corn Casserole and Au Gratin Potatoes, Desserts: Strawberry Shortcake and Peach Cobbler. Price per person: $37.00.
Sunday: Check-out day for most. Everyone have a safe trip home and hope to see you at another reunion in the future.
25TH REUNION DVD: The GALVESTON Gals were talking at last years reunion that since the 25th reunion was coming up in Memphis that they would like to find someway to commerate all the reunions that were held in some way. Alvin Lacefield got to work and has put together a fantastic DVD, having gathered all kinds of pictures etc.. He then turned it over to the Gals. They will be selling these DVD's at the reunion, price of the DVD will be posted in the July Newsletter.
