We have been informed by Shipmate Ray Wood that his Wife of 4l years Lilia passed away due to a massive stroke. Our sincere condolences to Shipmate Ray and his family. Good Morning Shipmates. One month until our reunion, looking forward to seeing everyone!

On Wed, 04AUG00 Darlene and I had the honor of dining with Jim & Janet Cole of Harrington, DE. Although we never served together, it's just another example of the great friedships that have come about fron the Shipmate's Organization. An enjoyable evening of reminiscing followed.
We will do it again this coming Tuesday.

"WELCOME ABOARD" Welcome aboard to another new Shipmate DOTTS, Ted, *58-60, SN, (Plankowner), Spouse Gayle, resides in Bellevue, MI. Hopefully we will get to see Ted and Gayle at a reunion sometime. This brings the total Shipmates/Honorary Members Roster total to: 489

I was aboard for the re-comission and was assigned to Fox Division and assisted on the W-2 guidance radar.
I remember spending most of our time at the South end of Broad St with an ocassional side trip to Roosevelt Roads and that we had a real problem hitting anything. The Ship was crawling with engineers from RCA and Sperry.

I went thru part of the log and could not find any familiar names, but I will keep looking.

I have just looked at the video of ADM Montgomery's speech at the plaque dedication ceremony. What a wonderful speech it was and I am so glad to be able to hear it again and I applaud Keith and Bob for posting it, "Thanks guys". I kind of wished that there were more pictures of the people who attended but still it was a great job and I would urge everyone to listen to it.

I would like to say what a great job SOUPY is doing, and has been doing all these years. We all take it for granted at times, and hope our membership agree , good health to all , Bucky
