It has been a long, dry spell since I had any Galveston love, hugs, and kisses! I sure hope you are planning on meeting me in Colorado to try to catch up! It is fast approaching the time of the reunion where we renew old acquaintances and make new ones. I know this year will once again be very special. I’ve never been to Colorado so this will be brand new for me! I hope your year has been filled with family, fun, and good health. I and Sweetthang can’t wait to see you in Colorado!!!!! Love, hugs, and kisses. Sweetthang and Linda.

VP CORNER: Hello Shipmates. I don’t know about you, but after 40 years I catch myself more and more often thinking about the time I served on the GALVESTON. For some reason I only remember the good times. I was only 18, had never been away from home that far or that long. A little nervous, but excited at the same time, but determined to do my best. I feel the same way now. I’m Looking forward to seeing all of you at the Colorado Reunion. May God keep you safe till we meet again. VP John Parker.

This will be the last note for this newsletter. I want to make sure that I get it in the mail for our people who are not on line by April 1. All of our officers and I are looking forward as usual to seeing and greeting all of you at the reunion. I am a little disappointed so far by the tenative attendees list not having more names. My list only shows 190 (which includes our color guard), I hope that we will see a large increase as we get closer to the reunion date. Especially those of you from the West Coast. If anyone runs into a problem with trying to make their reservation, please do not hesitate, call me. The next Newsletter will be in July 2012. Always remember, I have the toll free phone # 866-398-2655 in case you need to contact me. Let all of us send thoughts and prayers to our personnel who are having health problems, and hope they will get better. Also, all our personnel who reside in the areas that have been getting hit by severe weather. Until we can get together in person, please take care, keep well and God Bless.
